RISK MANAGEMENT, CONCUSSION AWARENESS AND SAFE SPORT TRAINING
EAA requires all Head and Assistant Coaches for our wrestling program to complete coach registration for each season. Coaches will:
- Read, Understand & Agree to comply with the EAA Coaches Code of Conduct and with the EAA Coaches Waiver
- Complete a background check, SafeSport and concussion awareness training
Coaches meetings will be coordinated throughout the season by the Director of Coaching and Head Coach.
Head Coach: Bruce Zurek
Bruce Zurek has wrestled for over 20 years including UNK and Chadron State College. He has been with the Elkhorn club for 2 years coaching the novice and advanced groups. His passion for sport or wrestling and dedication to the development of youth athletes is why we are so proud he will be taking on a larger role as Head Coach of EAA Wrestling.
Assistant Coach: Jimmy Ball
Jimmy has been involved with wrestling for 25+ years. He was a 3x State Placer & State Champ in Kansas before becoming 3x letter winner at UNO from 2004-2006. After graduating, he was an Assistant Coach at UNO in 2007-2008. He's also helped as Assistant Coach at Creighton Prep before joining Ironhawk Wrestling Club as an Assistant Head Coach. Jimmy grew up in a wrestling family who loves the sport while wanting to share the sport’s character and athletic benefits with future grapplers.
Assistant Coach: Bill Loghry
Coach Loghry is a great asset to our coaching staff with over 20 years of wrestling experience, a three-time Nebraska class B state place winner, and University of Nebraska-Kearney collegiate wrestler.
Assistant Coach: Joe Trout
