Select Softball

SEASON PLAY

The season begins with practices in January and games played through early to mid June.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

  • Approximate base cost for 7U and 8U is $600 and 10U and up is $1,200 for the season. Final amount due is based on Team budget submitted by your Coach. (View Details)(Includes $350 Tryout Deposit) The majority of the fee for the 2019 season will be collected by December of this year.
  • All players should register based on their age as of 12/31 prior to the season.
  • Deposit:
    • $350 paid during tryout registration.
    • If a player is offered a spot on a team and accepts, the deposit is applied to the balance for the season.
    • If a player is not offered a spot, a refund is provided.
    • Refunds are not provided for players that are offered a spot, accept that spot and later withdrawal from the spot or remove themselves from the team.
  • Refund requests for players that leave a team after the season begins are considered on a case by case basis by the Softball Committee.
  • Refunds as described above are processed after all tryouts are complete and rosters have been formed.

LEVELS OF PLAY

In addition to recreational softball, EAA offers Fast Pitch Softball at a more competitive level for ages 8-18. Our goal is to prepare young players for high school and college in a more competitive environment.

Class A: 

  • Play high school softball, start on varsity for multiple years, continue play in college
  • Invest time and money on individual softball instruction year around
  • Practice three times per week
  • Travel to multiple out of town tournaments that require an overnight stay 
  • Plays approximately 60-70 Games with approximately 7-8 projected tournaments.

Class B: 

  • Play high school softball, varsity substitute
  • Invest time and money on individual softball instruction year around
  • Practice three times per week
  • Travel to one or more out of town tournaments that require an overnight stay
  • Plays approximately 50-60 Games with approximately 6-7 projected tournaments.

Class C: 

  • Tryout for high school softball
  • Invest time and money on individual softball instruction during the off-season
  • Practice three times per week
  • Travel to tournaments with driving distance where no overnight stay is necessary
  • Players moving up from the rec leagues to their first year of select ball
  • Plays approximately 30-40 Games with approximately 4-5 projected tournaments.
