Futures Softball is a recreational league for players ages 4 up to high school age.  Team rosters are generally formed with players that attend the same school within the Elkhorn School District.  Players can make team, coach & buddy requests in the registration. Futures teams generally play against other EAA teams, as well as with some outside town partners who participate in our league.

Exciting News for the 2022 Season!

4/5U Tee-Ball is going COED! This season, baseball and softball will work together with our youngest players to teach the fundamentals of the sports.

We will be separating our 9U and 10U Divisions. 9U will be player/coach pitch and 10U will be strictly player pitch. More pitching camps and clinics will be offered to players through the fall/winter months (TBA).

Our Futures program is going full USA Softball rules (with minor exceptions at certain levels). What does this mean to our players? It means more fun & competition. Players will be sliding across home plate with a steal & a smile before you know it!

EAA Futures will be adding two new programs for the 2022 Season!

EAA Futures MVPs

This program will be open to all registered Futures players ages 7 – 12 as of 12/31/2021 that are looking for some additional games, tournament experiences, greater challenges, or a taste of competitive softball without the financial or time commitment. Players will need to attend tryouts to make these teams. Once selected the player will practice & play with their regular Futures team & also practice once a week with their MVP team. Players will play in 2-3 tournaments including a travel tournament to Kansas City. This program will begin with the regular season & will run through mid to end of July. Stay tuned for tryout dates & cost.

This program is designed for all players ages 13 & up as of 12/31/2021. We are partnering with other organizations to offer this mixed-age league for older players who wish to play at the recreational level. Games will be played in Elkhorn, Omaha, Fremont, and possibly other surrounding towns. Games will begin the first week in May with an End-of-Season Tournament during the week after the 4th of July.

Season Play

The Futures season begins with practices in late March and early April. Games generally begin in May and run through the end of June.  Every team will have a one hour practice during the week. Games will be on Saturday or Sunday.
