Football Coaches Corner

Thank you for being a youth football coach for EAA.  We appreciate your support through coaching Elkhorn youth athletes.

EAA REQUIREMENTS FOR COACHES

COMPLETE THE EAA COACH REGISTRATION

EAA requires all Head & Assistant Coaches to complete the EAA Coach Registration for Each Sport/Division/Team each season. Coaches will:

  • Read, Understand & Agree to comply with the EAA Coaches Code of Conduct
  • Read, Understand & Agree to comply with the EAA Coaches Waiver

EAA REQUIREMENTS FOR COACHES

COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK

EAA requires all Head & Assistant Coaches to complete a background check every 12 months.  You will be asked to complete a background check if:

  • we do not have a background check on file for you
  • your background check is over 12 months old
  • your background check will expire before the completion of the sport season being coached

Flag Coaches Corner

MEET REQUIREMENTS OF USA FLAG FOOTBALL:

Certification is required to be completed EACH YEAR.  Coaches who have not completed this certification prior to the first day of practice cannot coach players or participate in drills. This training is mandated by our agreement with USAFootball.  Be sure to print out and keep the certificate when finished and keep for your records.  Certification will cover the following topics: Coaching 101, Health & Safety, Anti-Abuse Training & Football Development Model.

 COMPLETE USA FOOTBALL Youth Coach Certification

Go to USA Football Certification click on the red "Get Certified" box in Youth Certification. Select "Non-Contact" & Select Age Group.  Click on "Get Certified" and Login or Register for an account (be sure it's associated with Elkhorn Athletic Association).  Use the promo code: ELKHORN21 and click "Sign Up for Course".  Start Certification.

ATTEND EAA COACHES MEETING

For Head Coaches only - This is the season informational kickoff meeting to review key season dates, new league rules and overall expectations. All teams must be represented. If the Head Coach cannot attend, then their TOP Assistant Coach must attend in his place.
2021 Meeting Date: August 6, 6:00 - 7:30pm at EAA Victory Center (1402 N 203rd St)
**Coaches there will be a $75 deposit required for the team Flag Football Equipment. Once your equipment is turned in at the conclusion of the season, we will return or shred your deposit check

Tackle Coaches Corner

MEET REQUIREMENTS OF USAFOOTBALL:

Attend EAA Coaches Meeting

Attend MYFL Coaches Meeting

Each team must be represented by 1 Coach - This meeting will review league rules and expectations. 
2021 Meeting Date: August 18 at BJSA (1001 High School Dr., Bellevue)

Attend High School Install Coaches Meeting

Recommended for all Head & Assistant Coaches to attend their High School Program Meeting
Jr Storm: March 12, 7:30-10pm at EAA Victory Center

Sign Up for your team's equipment check out date/time

Using our DIBS webpage (link posted soon) please sign up for your team's Equipment Check Out Date & Time.  Instructions on using the DIBS signup system through Sports Engine can be found here: https://www.elkhornathletics.org/volunteerThere will be a $200 deposit required for the TEAM Tackle Football Equipment & $300 deposit required for the PLAYER Tackle Football Equipment. Once equipment is turned in at the end of the season, checks are returned/ shredded.

Sign Up for your team's Jamboree/Weigh-in date/time

For Weigh-Ins Must Have (1) Roster Online with Photo (2) Proof of DOB (3) Athlete & Coach Consent Forms (4) Proof of Grade (8th Grade Only)
