FUTURES CHEER PROGRAM
Futures Cheer is a recreational program for athletes ages Kindergarten - 8th Grade.
Squad rosters are generally formed with players that attend the same school within the Elkhorn School District; registration is open to anyone outside of the district though! Players can make squad, coach & buddy requests in the registration.
Fall Futures cheer is sideline football recreational cheer.
The Fall Futures season begins with practices starting in August.
Games are in September and October on Sundays.
Winter Futures cheer is sideline basketball recreational cheer.
The Winter Futures season begins with practices in November.
Games are November-February on Saturdays.
- Grades K-2: 5-6pm
- Grades 3-8: 6-7pm
EAA Futures Cheerleaders purchase their own uniform. This uniform will be the same option for at least 2 years (New uniforms in 2024). This keeps the cost down for families that return so they can reuse their uniform items and only pay the Registration Fee for future seasons!
Futures Required Uniform: consists of Varsity brand shell (top), Skirt, Poms & Bow. Winter Futures will also need the long sleeved bodyliner. Cheerleaders will also need to purchase white socks & shoes.
Our Futures Cheerleaders are coached by Volunteer Coaches. Our Cheer Director is responsible for overseeing the aspects of the Futures Program by working closely with parent coaches to deliver top-notch instruction that follows a carefully designed EAA Cheer-wide curriculum. The Cheer Director will run 1 practice a week with all squads. Coaches may opt to hold an additional practice with their squad.
You will have an opportunity to indicate you are willing to volunteer as an assistant coach when you register your child. All volunteer coaches are required to successfully complete all EAA coaching requirements prior to the season starting. This includes a background check, safesport and concussion training.
