Registration for the 2018 EAA Edge Softball season will be through our new registration provider: SportsEngine. Your credit card statement will show a charge for $350 by ElkhornAthleticAssoc. $350 is due at checkout and is refundable if a player does not make a team. Players that make a team will have a balance due by Feb. 15th, 2018. Invoices for the remaining balance will be sent in the fall of 2017.

LEAGUE

Vision Statement:

EAA is a youth sports organization dedicated to providing young athletes an enjoyable and constructive youth sports experience.  EAA is an Elkhorn based organization serving the Elkhorn community and we also welcome participation from families in our surrounding communities.



REGISTRATION

 

Deposit: $350 paid during tryout registration in June 2017.

In general, 8U will have an approximate base cost of $800-$900 for the season. (Includes $350 Tryout Deposit) 
10U-18U will have an approximate base cost of $1,000 for the season. (Includes $350 Tryout Deposit)

Each team will receive an invoice in the fall for the final balance due by Feb 15th, 2018.

All players should register based on their age as of 12/31/2017.


SEASON PLAY

 

 

The season begins with practices in January with games played through early to mid June.


LEVELS OF PLAY

 

 

In addition to recreational softball, EAA offers Fast Pitch Softball at a more competitive level for ages 8-18.  Our goal is to prepare young players for high school and college in a more competitive environment.

 

Class A:

  • Play high school softball, start on varsity for multiple years, continue play in college
  • Invest time and money on individual softball instruction year around
  • Practice three times per week
  • Travel to multiple out of town tournaments that require an overnight stay 
  • Plays approximately 60-70 Games with approximately 7-8 projected tournaments.

Class B: 

  • Play high school softball, varsity substitute
  • Invest time and money on individual softball instruction year around
  • Practice three times per week
  • Travel to one or more out of town tournaments that require an overnight stay
  • Plays approximately 50-60 Games with approximately 6-7 projected tournaments.

Class C: 

  • Tryout for high school softball
  • Invest time and money on individual softball instruction during the off-season
  • Practice three times per week
  • Travel to tournaments with driving distance where no overnight stay is necessary
  • Players moving up from the rec leagues to their first year of select ball
  • Plays approximately 30-40 Games with approximately 4-5 projected tournaments.
